Popsicle Sticks and Plasticine

Sticks and dough are deceptively simple.  Truth is, they encourage unstructured play and exploration, while honing spatial awareness and problem solving skills. Our population here is a very mixed bag and many of the kids don't have any experience with building things in 3D.  So I try to give them construction experiences whenever I can.  This is a great alternative to free draw.
