This art teacher mama has been waiting for a long time for my 3 year old to make a representational drawing. And while we were in Sri Lanka over the holiday, she finally did. She must have really been keen to the people in her surroundings--
check out the bindi on the forehead! She still draws bindis on every figure she makes. :)
How adorable. And I love the addition of the page from Lowenfeld/Edwards. They were the authors of my first real art ed textbooks, and with all the changes in education, I don't really think this stuff (the stages of kids' development regarding drawing) has changed one bit! Thanks and congrats on the developmental milestone. ;)
