Blasting off into 2012! Stars were made with fingerprints...planets were made with crayon watercolor resist with texture rubbing plates. The kids, of course, are fans of anything with their photo!
@mary: thanks so much. my art room in cambodia had a few texture rubbing plates and now i have a massive collection of them. kids think they're magic, wax resist never seems to get old.
@phyl: thanks-- it was the Staycation that made me change it! I was so sick of looking at the other one and finally after i finished reading everything on the internet...errr...so it seemed...i got bored enough experiment with something else. :)
@jacquelien: it's so funny, put a kid's photo in their work and they go bananas over it. too cute. From now on I’m taking a head shot of each kiddo at the start of each year to use all over the place.
@mr.e: twas easy peasy, believe it or not. i am a powerpoint junkie, especially the latest version. it just keeps getting better. I do all my graphics stuff with it, including the title of this blog—I just work with photos and WordArt or whatever and then save it as a jpeg. For the blogger bit, the template is “Travel” and I just changed and tiled the background image. Let me know if you need more specifics!
These are so much fun! I really like the colors and textures on the planets.
