Crafty Cows 4- Indian block print stamps on clay

I knew when I found these cool wooden stamps on the street in Mumbai that they'd be put to good use in the art room.  They're made for block printing (see a wonderful video of Indian artisans carving and using the stamps to print on cloth here).

The Crafty Cows gals and I are on ceramics kick right now, so we used the stamps to add texture to some bowls and platter.  There will be many more where these came from!

    1. Ooh lucky-- hope you're having a blast. We stayed in the Colaba area and there are tons of vendors on the street there in the evening (on Colaba Causeway)-- that's where I bought these. We also saw a whole bunch in the tourist oriented flea markets in Goa. Good luck, I'm sure you'll be able to find some!
