Ceramic Cupcakes

The Grade 1's finished up their Thiebaud artist study by making some ceramic cupcakes.  They are actually made from two pinch pots-- the bottom part is a pinch pot pressed into some disposable paint cups.  The top is another pinch pot and I showed them how to score and slip to add details.  Unfortunately I don't have a lot of glaze this year (long story) so the color palette is pretty limited to last years' dregs.  Despite that, they worked very hard to fill in all the white spots and add three layers of glaze- -which is pretty tough for a 6 year old to do!!
